Cigar of the Week
Alec Bradley
Texas Lancero
8.99 (+10% off!)

Strength:  Medium
Wrapper:  Nicaraguan
Origin:  Nicaragua

Everything’s bigger in Texas!

In America, and growing rapidly across the globe, the demand for thicker, longer cigars has changed the shape of the cigar industry (get it?). Alec Bradley answers the bell with this new, ironically named behemoth of a handmade, the Texas Lancero. This massive, 7”x70 giant will set you in a state (get it?) of euphoria for what seems like days.

Along with its gargantuan size comes enormous flavor. A bevy of Nicaraguan, Honduran, and Costa Rican long-fillers plump up this monster before it’s all secured by a gleaming Nicaraguan wrapper leaf. A rich and spicy profile is supported by notes of citrus, leather, and nuts to create a delicious, medium-bodied profile you’ll want to burn for hours.  And thankfully, this big-ring beauty obliges and burns just about as long as you’ll let it.

Beer of the Week-on draft
The Lost Abbey
Angel’s Share 2015
12.5% ABV

Down in Kentucky and across the pond in Scotland, distillers who age their whiskeys for many years refer to the evaporation of the spirits from their barrels as “The Angel’s Share.” We couldn’t agree more. Each time a barrel is filled, a measure of liquid seeps into the oak and is lost for good. This striking Strong Ale is brewed with copious amounts of Caramel malt to emphasize the vanilla and oak flavors found in freshly emptied bourbon or brandy barrels. The beer spends a year in oak before it is packaged for release.
